Corpse paint
 

I don't want to sound like a jerk or anything but I don't like Abbath's corpse paint at all,there are people who have more complex and cool looking things
Iscariah had a very simple but cool looking thing going on,as did Demonaz.
which others do you like?

I always thought Darkthrone looked scary in theirs, at least on the "Transylvanian Hunger" album cover...

Emperor also had cool corpsepaint, at least back when they used to wear it.

well the original idea of corpsepaint is too like a corpse...which nowadays everybody forgot or something... so I am really disguised by the "corpse"paint-s of some people which really has nothing to do with CORPSE... ehm.. and well.. as far as I know Abbath's facepainting is representing a demon...

Yeah, i think its a bit boring too. If i remember correctly Shagrath had very cool paint on the EDT album.

Yeah, isn't it supposed to be similar to the demon (?) depicted on the ltd. ed. cover of "Battles"? Does anyone know if this "demon" was conjured up by Abbath or if it's been "stolen" from somewhere else (like a book on Norse mythology or something...)

But I wouldn't care if Abbath wore bright red lipstick, eyeshadow and high heels onstage as long as he and Immortal keep on writing rippin' tunes. Music first!

Yeah...I remember in some interview Abbath said that it wasn't "corpse paint" to him...rather, "war paint." So I guess that's why it's less traditional. Not that it matters. :)

All good and well but you are forgetting something!!!

Immortal don't wear corpse paint. They wear war paint. Thats from the honourable mouth of Abbath himself!!

And I like Abbaths WAR paint. It suits him.

Corpse- or war-paint makes black metal too theatrical in my opinion. Or well, it has become so, anyway. It would be much easier to take bands serious if they were themselves so to speak, but I guess corpse/war-paint adds a lot when playing live.

Emperor, Ihsahn had a great one, and I agree with what was said about Dark Throne.

I never thought of the panda thing, but I think war paint looks cooler if it's sort of a "dusty" look like Abbath's - not clear cut lines an' stuff.

I like Corpse Paint. I think its cool, as long as you portray the image that goes with it.

What's the name of the guy from Taake? He doesnt have corpsepaint really, but he does have cool makeup...
